India-Australia Third Test Drawn: Rahul-Jadeja and Bumrah saved from follow-on, series tied at one each
India-Australia Third Test Drawn : The third Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia has been drawn. Only 25 overs could be bowled on the last day of the match on Wednesday at The Gabba ground in Brisbane. Australia had given India a target of 275 runs, but the day's play was canceled due to rain.

Before the rain, the Indian team had scored 8 runs without loss in the second innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul returned unbeaten after scoring 4-4 runs. Earlier, India's fast bowlers had reduced Australia's 7 wickets for 89 runs, then captain Pat Cummins declared the innings. In the morning, the Indian team was all out on the score of 260 runs in the first innings. Here the Kangaroos had a lead of 185 runs in the first innings. The Australian team had scored 445 runs in the first innings.
After this draw, the 5-match series is tied at 1-1. India won the first Test by 295 runs, while Australia won the second Test by 10 wickets. The fourth match will be played at the MCG ground in Melbourne from 26 December.
Bumrah-Akash Deep partnership saved from follow on
At one time the danger of playing follow on was looming over the Indian team. The team had lost 9 wickets for 213 runs in the first innings. In such a situation, the pair of Jasprit Bumrah and Akash Deep saved the partnership of 47 runs for the last wicket from follow-on.

India had scored 8 runs without loss in reply to the target of 275 runs to win when play was stopped due to bad light and rain. Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul were at the crease after scoring four runs each. Earlier, Australia took a bold decision to declare the second innings at 89 runs for 7 wickets, which gave India a target of 275 runs. India's star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah took 3 wickets for 18 runs in 6 overs while Mohammad Siraj and Akash Deep got 2 wickets each. The fourth test match of the series will be played in Melbourne from 26 December. Head was named player of the match for scoring 152 runs in the first innings. R Ashwin announced his retirement from international cricket.
