Railway Ministry says that someone spread this type of rumor on social media to confuse people. According to the news of Zee News, the Railway Department has said that there is no plan for free travel to the devotees during Mahakumbh. The Ministry has stated in clear words that traveling without a ticket is a legal offense and there is a provision of fine and jail sentence for doing so. The Railway Department has requested everyone to ignore rumors and travel only with tickets.

However, it has been told by the Railway Ministry that for the convenience of the passengers, many additional trains will be run for Mahakumbh so that the passengers do not face any kind of problem. Along with this, additional ticket counters will also be built by the Railways at the stations of Prayagraj so that it can be easier to get tickets. This time 40 crore devotees are expected to reach Mahakumbh. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Prayagraj and took stock of the preparations for Mahakumbh. Apart from this, he also inaugurated many development projects so that the devotees coming to Prayagraj can get convenience.
