Kejriwal brought Sanjeevani to compete with PM Modi's Ayushman Bharat, know what is the difference between the two…

New Delhi:- Even before the assembly elections in Delhi, all political parties are busy in wooing voters. Due to this, parties are making new announcements every day. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister of Delhi and convenor of Aam Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal has also announced a new scheme for senior citizens.

Kejriwal has announced 'Sanjeevani Yojana' on Wednesday. Under this, all elderly people above 60 years of age in Delhi will be treated free of cost. It is believed that Kejriwal has introduced this scheme in response to the Central Government's 'Ayushman Bharat Scheme'.
It is noteworthy that in the month of September this year, the Central Government had announced to provide free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh to all senior citizens of 70 years or above under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. This is the reason why Kejriwal's Sanjeevani scheme is being seen as a counter to the Centre's Ayushman Bharat.

Let us tell you that Aam Aadmi Party has not allowed the Ayushman Bharat scheme of the Central Government to be implemented in Delhi, due to which it is also in dispute with the Central Government. AAP claims that the health scheme run by it in the state is better than the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

What is Sanjeevani Yojana?

Under Sanjeevani Yojana, all elderly people above 60 years of age will get free treatment. The state government will bear the entire cost of treatment under Sanjeevani Yojana. That means patients will not have to pay any money for treatment. There will be no upper limit on the cost of treatment. Registration for this will start in a day or two.

To implement Sanjeevani Yojana, AAP workers will go to every house and register the elderly and on the basis of this registration, they will be treated. Apart from this, under Sanjeevani Yojana, people of all sections will be able to get treatment, whether they are rich or poor. There will be no discrimination in this.

What is Ayushman Bharat Scheme?

All elderly people above 70 years of age are covered under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri-Jan Arogya Yojana implemented by the Modi government. A golden card is also being made for such elderly people, so that they can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.
Most serious diseases are covered under Ayushman Bharat. Under Ayushman Bharat, elderly people of all income groups get free treatment. Under this scheme, people can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in 13 thousand private and 17 thousand government hospitals of the country.
