Hundreds of farmers are protesting at Shambhu and Khanauri border on the Punjab-Haryana border. Meanwhile, farmers also announced to shut down Punjab. Earlier on Wednesday, farmers organized Rail Roko agitation across Punjab. Farmers stopped trains at many places from 12 to 3 pm on Wednesday. Now farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher has announced Punjab Bandh on 30 December. He has made this announcement to put pressure on the Centre.
What did Sarwan Singh Pandher say?
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said, “We will maintain emergency services during the Punjab Bandh. We will hold meetings with shopkeepers, religious institutions, trade boards and trade unions. We will demand from them to cooperate in the Punjab Bandh.” Earlier on Wednesday, farmers in Punjab staged a sit-in protest on the railway tracks for three hours. Trains were also stopped at many places. Passengers also had to face problems due to stopping of trains.

Farmer leader Pandher said that the farmers' groups will appeal to the heads of all the religious institutions including the singers of Punjab and other eminent personalities through social media or in their programs to make the Punjab Bandh of December 30 a success. He said that only if the farming sector of Punjab survives, business and trade will survive. He said, because the economy of Punjab is linked to agriculture.

Appeal to people by installing speakers on tractor-trolleys
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher further said that during this time, an appeal has been made to all the farmers and youth associated with the groups to install speakers on tractor-trolleys and inform people about the Punjab Bandh on December 30 in the streets, villages and cities. Give. He said that they should inspire people to participate in this.

Will block trains if necessary
Along with this he said that emergency services will continue during this period. He warned that if necessary, trains will definitely be blocked in the coming days. Pandher warned that the gangs were getting intelligence that farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who was on a fast unto death, could be picked up by the police administration. But he said that for this the governments will first have to take the lives of the farmers guarding Dallewal.
