Ingredients for making sesame laddus:

  • 250 grams white sesame seeds
  • 500 grams jaggery
  • half teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 10 to 12 cashews
  • 10 to 12 almonds
  • one spoon ghee
  • one spoon fennel powder

Method of making sesame laddu:

First of all, clean the sesame seeds thoroughly. Heat the pan on medium flame. Add one spoon of ghee in it and once it becomes lukewarm, add white sesame seeds and fry on low flame for 5 to 7 minutes. Take out the roasted sesame seeds in a plate and keep it to cool. Now add jaggery in the same pan and prepare a thin syrup on low flame. As soon as the jaggery syrup is ready, add half a teaspoon of fennel powder and half a teaspoon of cardamom powder and mix it well. Once the jaggery syrup is ready, add a little sesame seeds to it and mix well.

When all the sesame and jaggery syrups are mixed well, add finely chopped cashews and almonds and mix well. When all the mixtures are mixed well, apply ghee on your hands and prepare small sesame laddus.
