A look at Ashwin's brilliant international career
Ravichandran Ashwin set many records in his international career. He took 537 wickets and scored 3,503 runs in 106 Test matches. His best bowling performance was 7/59, while in batting he made the highest score of 124 runs. In ODI, Ashwin took 156 wickets in 116 matches, while in T20 he took 72 wickets in 65 matches.
Ashwin's sudden retirement from international cricket is a big shock for his fans. However, his brilliant records and contributions will always be remembered. The team does not get a match-winning player like Ashwin very often, and it will be difficult to fill his place in Indian cricket.
