Padma shri awardee, Mogilaiah who shot to fame with his song in Telugu movie Balagam, died of kidney ailment

Hyderabad: Popular folk artist Darshanam Mogilaiah, who shot to fame with the Tollywood movie Balagam, passed away on Thursday morning.
Mogilaiah, also known as Kinnera Mogilaiah, was undergoing treatment for kidney ailment at a private hospital in Warangal. However, he breathed his last early on Thursday morning.
Apart from Balagam director Venu and crew, the State government too had supported his treatment expenditure.
Mogilaiah was among the few last players of the stringed tribal musical instrument known as Kinnera, and was awarded the Padma Shri in 2022.
