Bikaner Accident: Bomb exploded while loading ammunition into the tank; 2 soldiers martyred, one injured
Bikaner: A major accident has taken place at Mahajan Firing Range in Bikaner, Rajasthan. According to reports, two Army soldiers were martyred in an accident while loading ammunition into a tank during a training exercise at Mahajan Field Firing Range in Bikaner on Wednesday. There is also news of a soldier being injured in this incident.
It is being told that the injured soldier has been taken to Chandigarh by helicopter for treatment, while the bodies of the soldiers who lost their lives in the accident have been taken to Suratgarh Military Station. This is the second major accident in Mahajan firing range within 4 days.

Giving information about the incident, Defense spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Amitabh Sharma said that when the soldiers were loading ammunition into the tank, the charger exploded. He said, 'Two soldiers died and another was injured in the incident.' He said that as soon as information about the explosion was received, the local police reached the spot.

Lunkaransar (Bikaner) CO Narendra Kumar Poonia said, '3 soldiers were practicing with the tank. During this, two soldiers Ashutosh Mishra and Jitendra died due to blast in the charger. Meanwhile, the injured soldier has been taken to Chandigarh by helicopter.
Second major accident in 4 days
According to CO Poonia, the bodies of the soldiers who lost their lives in the accident have been taken to Suratgarh Military Station. He told that Ashutosh Mishra was a resident of Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh, while Jitendra was a resident of Dausa district of Rajasthan. Let us tell you that this is the second major accident in the Mahajan firing range in the last 4 days.
The gunner was martyred on Sunday
Earlier, on Sunday, Gunner Chandra Prakash Patel was martyred. Patel was on duty as a detachment commander in the gun battery during training. He was attaching the cannon to the towing vehicle when the cannon came backwards and he was injured. Defense spokesperson had said that the soldier was immediately taken to the field hospital by ambulance where doctors declared him brought dead.
