Sonu Sood and Yo Yo Honey Singh’s collaboration for the upcoming film Fateh has fans buzzing with excitement. Backed by Zee Studios and Shakti Sagar Productions, the duo recently launched the second song from the movie’s album, titled Hitman. During a press conference in Delhi, the singer-rapper shared an intriguing anecdote about his bond with the Fateh actor, revealing how Sood foresaw his Bollywood career 16 years ago.
Recalling their first meeting, Honey Singh said, “Sixteen years ago, I was a music director in Punjab, creating futuristic songs. Sonu paaji visited my studio in Mohali and listened to my tracks like Brown Rang and Angrezi Beat. He told me, ‘Your time will come, and Bollywood will come to you.’ He even went to Mumbai and recommended my name to producers and directors. Though nothing materialized then, his words stayed with me.”
Honey Singh revealed that years later, when his Bollywood journey began, he reconnected with Sood and expressed gratitude for his faith. “Sonu’s vision came true. He believed in me even before anyone in Bollywood did,” he added.
The rapper also praised Sood’s humanitarian efforts, calling him a visionary and a brother. “Sonu puts his life on the line to help others. Whether it’s people he knows or complete strangers, he’s always there to support. More than an actor or filmmaker, his heart is dedicated to serving people. If someone like him doesn’t succeed, who else will?” Honey Singh remarked.
Fateh, produced by Umesh KR Bansal of Zee Studios and Sonali Sood of Shakti Sagar Productions, promises to be a gripping tale of courage and resilience. The film addresses the pressing issue of cybercrime and stars Sonu Sood, Jacqueline Fernandez, Naseeruddin Shah, and Vijay Raaz. Directed by Vaibhav Mishra, this thrilling drama is set to hit theatres on January 10, 2025.
