Car News Desk – People in India are becoming aware of the safety features available in vehicles. Now people are emphasizing on buying safe vehicles. Due to which many vehicle manufacturers are now providing many safety features in their vehicles. The safety of these vehicles is checked through crash tests in Global NCAP and India NCAP. In the year 2024, Bharat NCAP has crash tested 10 vehicles. Let us know which vehicles these are and what safety rating they have received.
Mahindra Thar Rocks
Mahindra Thar Rocks has achieved a 5-star safety rating for both adults and children in the India NCAP crash test. It is the first body-on-frame SUV to achieve this rating in the India NCAP crash test. Two variants of the Thar Rocks, AX5L and MX3, were used in the India NCAP crash test.
Mahindra XUV 3XO
XUV 3XO was also crash tested along with Mahindra Thar Rocks through Bharat NCAP. This SUV has also achieved a 5-star safety rating for both adults and children. It scored 29.36 out of 32 in adult occupation safety and 43 out of 49 in children's occupation safety.
Mahindra XUV400 EV
Mahindra Thar Rocks, XUV 3XO as well as XUV400 EV were also crash tested in India NCAP. This is an all-electric car from Mahindra. Like the Thar Rocks and XUV 3XO, it has received a 5-star safety rating for both adult and child occupant protection. It scored 30.38 out of 32 in adult occupation safety and 43 out of 49 in children's occupation safety.
Hyundai Tucson
Recently Hyundai Tucson has been crash tested in India NCAP. It has received a 5-star safety rating for both adult and children's business safety. Hyundai Tucson has scored 30.84 out of 32 points in adult occupant protection and 41 out of 49 points in child occupant protection.
citroen basalt
Citroen Basalt was launched in India in August 2024. Its India NCAP crash test was conducted in October 2024, in which it received a 4-star crash-safety rating. It got 26.19 points out of 32 in Adult Occupation Protection and 35.90 points out of 49 in Children Occupation Protection.
Tata Curve and Tata Curve EV
Tata Curve has been launched recently. It has received a 5-star safety rating for both adult and child occupant protection in India NCAP crash tests. It has got 29.50 out of 32 points in Adult Occupancy Protection and 43.66 out of 49 points in Child Occupancy Protection in India NCAP. At the same time, Tata Curve EV has also achieved 5-star safety for both adult and child occupant protection in the crash test in India NCAP. It has scored 30.81 out of 32 points in Adult Occupation Protection and 44.83 out of 49 points in Children Occupation Protection.
Tata Nexon
Like the Tata Curve, the petrol-diesel variants of the Tata Nexon as well as the electric version have also been crash tested at Bharat NCAP. Its ICE version has achieved a 5-star safety rating for both adult and child occupant protection. Tata Nexon has scored 29.41 out of 32 points in Adult Occupancy Protection and 43.83 out of 49 points in Children Occupancy Protection. Tata Nexon EV has received a 5-star safety rating for both adult and child occupant protection in crash tests. It has scored 29.86 out of 32 points in Adult Occupation Protection and 44.95 out of 49 points in Children Occupation Protection.
Tata Punch EV
Tata Punch EV is the only micro-SUV to participate in the India NCAP crash test to receive a 5-star safety rating for both adult and child occupant protection. It has scored 31.46 out of 32 marks in adult business protection and 45 out of 49 marks in children business protection.
