Ashwin was included in Team India's squad for this series, but till now he got a chance to play in only one match out of three. Ashwin was seen playing in the Adelaide Test and this match proved to be the last match of his career. Now big information has come to light that Ashwin does not want to come to Australia for this series.

A PTI report has come out that R Ashwin did not want to come on Australia tour. Ashwin had thought of retirement after the 3-0 defeat in the home Test series at the hands of New Zealand. After which Ashwin wanted to tour Australia with the guarantee of getting a place in the playing eleven.

Did not get a chance in Perth Test
The first match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy was played in Perth. R Ashwin did not get a chance in the playing eleven of Team India in this match, although he was given a chance in the Adelaide Test, but Ashwin's performance in this match was not anything special. After which Ashwin was dropped from the playing eleven of the Gabba Test. At the same time, the chances of Ashwin getting a chance in the playing eleven in the next two Test matches were very less.

Ashwin's record in Test cricket has been quite excellent. He played 106 test matches for Team India, in which Ashwin took 537 wickets while bowling. Apart from this, Ashwin had taken 40 wickets on Australian soil.
