The Daily Mail reports that the 37-year-old beauty queen appeared at Aylesbury Crown Court on Tuesday following her arrest. She faces charges of two separate assaults against her husband Robert Clay, which occurred on Oct. 30 in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. The court was told that the alleged assaults included Erdene-Ochir punching Clay, with one incident reportedly resulting in injuries to his mouth.
Erdene-Ochir has denied the charges, contesting both counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Her defense, led by Jasvinder Toor, reaffirmed her denial of the accusations.
The judge has set the trial date for the week of April 20, 2026, and has allowed Erdene-Ochir to remain on conditional bail. He reminded her that the trial would proceed without her if she fails to attend.
In 2006, Erdene-Ochir made history as the first Mongolian contestant to reach the Miss World beauty contest finals. She was also the first Mongolian to compete and work for the fashion channel FTV.
