Material
- Carrot-1 kg (grated)
- Milk-1 liter
- Sugar-1 cup
- Ghee-1/2 cup
- Green cardamom-10-12 (crushed)
- Nuts-1/4 cup (cashew nuts, almonds, raisins)
- Mawa-1/4 cup
Method (Carrot Beer)
1-To make carrot halwa, first wash the carrots thoroughly and grate them. Chop the dry fruits finely. Crush the cardamom.
2- Pour milk in a heavy bottom pan and boil it on medium flame. Heat ghee in a separate pan and add grated carrots to it and fry till it turns golden.
3-Put the roasted carrots in boiling milk. Cook the mixture on low flame while stirring continuously until the milk thickens and the carrots are completely cooked.
4- When the mixture becomes thick, add sugar and mawa and mix well. Finally add crushed cardamom and finely chopped dry fruits and mix. Take out the halwa in a serving vessel and garnish with the remaining dry fruits.
