Kia Syros 2025 global debut: booking details announced
Delhi Delhi. Kia India has introduced the new Sciros, a premium subcompact SUV targeted at the modern urban lifestyle and tech-savvy buyers. Built on the advanced K1 platform, the Cyros differentiates itself with its best-in-class features like sliding, reclining and ventilated rear seats, dual-pane panoramic sunroof and Level 2 ADAS with 16 autonomous safety features. It also has a robust safety package with 20 high-standard features, ensuring comprehensive protection for the passengers.
Introduced as a more luxurious alternative to the Kia Sonet, the Sciros features similar powertrains, while offering better comfort and advanced technology. The SUV is available in six trims – HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+ and HTX+ (O), which aims to provide a versatile range of options for buyers.
The Kia Ciros introduces a new design direction, moving away from the brand's previous subcompact SUVs like the Sonet and Seltos. Taking inspiration from global models like the Kia EV9, EV5 and EV3, the Ciros features an upright, boxy stance that aims to maximize interior space. The exterior design embodies Kia's “Opposites United” philosophy, combining bold aesthetics with practical features. Key highlights include the signature starmap LED lighting, digital tiger face grille and 17-inch crystal-cut alloy wheels. The streamlined door handles, puddle lamps with Kia logo projection and sculpted contours further add to the SUV's distinctive and commanding road presence.
The Kia Ciros has a massive 2,550 mm wheelbase, offering a new interior with segment-first sliding and reclining 60:40 split rear seats for adjustable boot space. Ventilated seats both front and rear enhance comfort, while the 76.2 cm (30”) Trinity Panoramic Display and Connected Car Navigation Cockpit enhance the cabin’s technology offering. Premium touches like dual-pane panoramic sunroof, sporty alloy pedals, 64-colour ambient lighting, double D-cut steering wheel and 4-way powered driver seat contribute to the aura of modern luxury.
The Kia Sciros comes with two engine options: a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 120PS and 172Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine that produces 116PS and 250Nm. Both engines are offered with manual and automatic transmission options. With a 2,550 mm wheelbase and improved suspension, the Cyros offers a comfortable ride, balancing agility for city driving with stability on long trips.
