Ravichandran Ashwin retired : Ravichandran Ashwin, one of India's most successful bowlers, surprised everyone by announcing his retirement from international cricket on Wednesday amid the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He announced this in the press conference after the match. Captain Rohit Sharma was also present with Ashwin. This news shocked not only his fans but also many Bollywood stars.

Reacting to R Ashwin's exit, many popular B-town celebrities took to their social media accounts to express their surprise at the great Indian bowler's decision and also extended their good wishes. “One of the greatest players to do it, thanks for the memories,” Ranveer Singh wrote in the Stories section of his Instagram account along with a picture of Ashwin after taking the wicket.

Cricketer Virat Kohli's wife and actress Anushka Sharma also reacted to Ravichandran Ashwin's resignation and shared a video of Ashwin, husband Virat and Rohit Sharma from the dressing room after the news was announced.
