The entire matter came to light in 2018. Kejriwal had commented on the alleged deletion of names of 30 lakh voters belonging to some communities from the voter list by posting on social media X. He said in the post that BJP got 50 percent votes of Agarwal community removed from the list. He had also claimed that earlier this vote belonged to BJP but these people were angry due to demonetization and GST. Because of this BJP got their votes deducted. On this, BJP leader Rajiv had described Kejriwal's statement as damaging to the credibility of BJP. He had filed a defamation case against Kejriwal as well as other Aam Aadmi Party leaders.
