Mufasa: The Lion Kingwhich is simultaneously a prequel and sequel to the 2019 animated revamp The Lion Kinghas a Telugu dubbed version featuring Mahesh Babu as the voice of the titular character. The actor’s voice role has got Telugu audiences excited for the film.
Mahesh Babu took to X to pen a short note about the experience. He shared, “Voicing Mufasa has been an incredible experience that I’ll always hold close to my heart. I hope you experience the same joy watching Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King as I did.”
Mufasa: The Lion King tells the story of how Taka, a lion cub who later becomes the infamous villain Scar, saves the orphan cub Mufasa. It examines the close, brotherly bond that develops between Taka and Mufasa. The duo with a gang of misfits embark on a journey to find their destiny.
Mufasa: The Lion King also has the voices of Brahmanandam as Pumbaa and Ali as Timon. The film directed by Barry Jenkins is set to storm the global theatres on December 20.
