'Urban Naxals joined Bharat Jodo Yatra', claims Devendra Fadnavis, says – meeting in Nepal itself to influence elections

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has made a big claim regarding Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra. He said that urban Naxalite organizations had participated in Bharat Jodo Yatra. He had also held a meeting in Nepal to hatch a conspiracy to destabilize the BJP government.

Fadnavis made a big claim in the assembly

Taking aim at the opposition in the Assembly, newly elected Chief Minister Fadnavis said that a meeting was held in Kathmandu on November 15, just before the Maharashtra Assembly elections, to create unrest in the financial capital. The anti-terrorism squad has started investigating the use of terrorist funds. He said that he has found evidence of foreign interference.

He further said that in the meeting held in Kathmandu on November 15, issues like opposing EVMs and introducing ballot paper in BJP ruled states were discussed. Fadnavis claimed that out of the 180 organizations that will participate in Rahul Gandhi's visit, 40 are those which were designated as frontal organizations during the Congress-NCP government. Further, he said that in 2014, the Manmohan Singh government had mentioned 72 frontal organizations in the Lok Sabha, of which seven were part of the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Evidence of foreign interference found

CM further said that these organizations campaigned for Mahavikas Aghadi in Maharashtra Assembly elections. Evidence of foreign interference has been found in Indian elections. Someone else is using the shoulders of the opposition.

Maharashtra government introduced special bill to deal with Naxalism

The special thing is that Fadnavis made this claim at a time when the government introduced the Special Public Safety Act, 2024 in the Maharashtra Assembly to deal with urban Naxalism. In this bill introduced by the government, steps will be taken to deal with the increasing presence of Naxalism in urban centres.
