YouTube will be strict on fake videos, fake headlines and thumbnails will be banned

Obnews Tech Desk: YouTube has decided to take strict action against videos spreading false information. Especially in India, where a large number of people use this platform to get information about news and current events. Now if there is a video in which the title and thumbnail claim something else but completely different information is given in the video, then such video will be removed immediately.

For example, if a video is titled, “Prime Minister resigns!” And if there is no such information in the video, then it will be removed under the new rules of YouTube. Similarly, if the thumbnail of a video hints at a big news story, but the actual video itself does not contain any important information, it will also come under the ambit of action.

YouTube's mission: trustworthy information

YouTube aims to ensure that viewers get accurate and authentic information. Fake videos not only waste people's time but also harm the reputation of YouTube. At times of big news, this problem becomes even more serious as people depend on YouTube for true and accurate information.

Creators will get a message from the new rules

YouTube will strictly enforce this campaign in India. In the coming months, recently uploaded videos that violate the rules will be the first to be removed. After this, creators will be made aware how to make perfect videos. Also, they will be advised to check and correct their old videos also.

The purpose of this step of YouTube is to protect people from misleading content and maintain trust on the platform. Now it remains to be seen how seriously Indian creators take these changes.
