Bailey made it clear in his statement that he gave Constas a chance in the team as part of his strategy against Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah has so far managed to break Australia's opening partnership in five innings of three matches. During this period, Bumrah has shown McSweeney the way to the pavilion in four out of six innings.

“You could say the way our top three players are playing is pretty similar and we want to be able to do something different against India,” Bailey said.
