Launched by legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra, Sonam rose to fame due to her stellar performances. She became one of the most popular actresses of the 90s. Apart from her acting skills, Sonam was also known for her bold and charming personality.

However, her bold pictures once landed her in trouble. Recently, the actress shared a daring photoshoot that stirred controversy and earned her scolding from her parents. In her post, she revealed that her mother had slapped her harshly after she posed for a bold photoshoot. In the pictures, she appeared nude, with only long grass strategically covering her.

Sharing the pictures, she wrote, “When I got a tight slap! I thought I was gonna look great and was wearing a skin-coloured short dress which was hidden by the tall grass around… So when the images came out, my mom came with the magazine and gave me a tight slap and tore the magazine up. I may have been bold at that time, but my parents were always very protective about me. Nonetheless, I was always a rebel with a cause. At least that’s what I thought!”
