In fact, Haldiram Snacks, a major company in the packaged food industry, will set up a production plant in Bihar with an investment of Rs 300 crore. A company official gave this information here on Friday (December 20). The company, which makes sweets, namkeen, bhujia, snacks and other food items, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Bihar government for an investment of Rs 300 crore, company vice-president Sanjay Singhania said.

“We are setting up a production plant for sweets, namkeen and snacks in Bihar,” Sanjay Singhania, vice president of Haldiram Snacks Pvt Ltd, told the media on the sidelines of 'Bihar Business Connect-2024'. We will invest Rs 300 crore.” The company promoted by the Agarwal family has acquired 12 acres of land in Sikandarpur, Bihta to set up this plant. “The plant will be operational by mid-2027,” he said. Haldiram's is India's largest packaged snack and sweets company and restaurant operator.
Indian Oil Corporation will also invest Rs 21 thousand crore in Bihar
For your information, let us tell you that earlier IOC had announced investment worth crores of rupees in Bihar. Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) had asked to invest Rs 21,000 crore in Bihar. This investment will be made in increasing the capacity of Barauni Refinery and setting up a network for retail sale of CNG to vehicles and piped gas to homes and industries.
The company's executive director Suman Kumar said in the second edition of the investor conference 'Bihar Business Connect' that IOC is expanding its Barauni refinery from the current 6 million tonnes to 9 million tonnes per annum.
