Microsoft will discontinue Windows 10 in 2025
Delhi Delhi. As the year 2024 comes to a close, Microsoft has announced that Windows 10 will be phased out in 2025, signaling a significant change for millions of users. So, for those whose PC can't be upgraded to Windows 11, it's probably time to consider purchasing a new system.
The phasing out of Windows 10 is part of Microsoft's broader strategy aimed at pushing users toward Windows 11, which offers a range of AI-powered features and improvements. However, this change may not be seamless for all users, especially those who have invested in high-end AI laptops. According to Nicole Dezen, Microsoft's chief partner officer and corporate vice president of Global Partner Solutions, “Windows 11 “PCs are the most secure, highest-performing AI-enabled devices on the market.”
“According to Microsoft, Windows 11 has a 250% return on investment and features 50% faster workflows than Windows 10. Although Windows 11 has been around for a long time, it won't be completely new. However, Microsoft is always adding new AI tools to the operating system; therefore, Windows 11's UI is modern, fluid, and responsive for most tasks. The location has shifted, and most functions are now accessible as applications.
Therefore, as more customers want laptops and desktops capable of handling demanding AI workloads, the trend toward AI-powered PCs is projected to continue into 2025. In India too, demand for AI PCs will drive growth in the laptop market, with users looking for computers capable of machine learning, natural language processing and computer vision.
