IND vs AUS: Will become Australia's youngest player as soon as he debuts in Boxing Day Test, will do such a feat after 70 years
Sports Desk: The fourth match of the five-match Test series being played between India and Australia is to be held in Melbourne. Australia has announced its team for this test and the fifth and final test. Young Sam Konstas has been included in this team. Nathan McSweeney has been dismissed from this team.
19-year-old Constas will be the youngest Test batsman to make his debut for Australia in the last 70 years. Constas has been included in the team after the poor performance of Australia's top order batsman, especially McSweeney, in the first three Tests. If Constas, who celebrates his 19th birthday on October 2, is selected for the Boxing Day Test, he will be the youngest player to make his debut after Australia's Test captain Pat Cummins. Cummins made his debut against South Africa in Johannesburg in 2011 when he was 18 years and 193 days old.
With this, Constas will become the youngest batsman to make his Test debut for Australia after Ian Craig. Craig was 17 years and 239 days old when he played against South Africa at the MCG in 1953. McSweeney, who made his debut in this series, could not score a single half-century in three matches. He scored 72 runs in six innings.

Whereas Constas scored a century in two Sheffield Shield matches for New South Wales. He scored unbeaten 73 runs in the match against India A at MCG while he scored 107 runs in the pink ball match for Prime Minister's XI against India in Canberra.
Australia's chief selector George Bailey said, “Sam has been included in the Test team for the first time.” His batting style is different. We are confident that Nathan has the ability and will get more opportunities in Test cricket in the future. The decision to keep him out was a difficult one.”
