Shreyas Iyer wreaks havoc with the bat in Vijay Hazare Trophy; Scored 114 runs in 55 balls against Karnataka
Shreyas Iyer’s Century: Middle order batsman Shreyas Iyer, who is out of the Indian team, is wreaking havoc against the opposing teams with his bat in domestic cricket. Iyer played an important role in making his team champion with his brilliant captaincy and batting in SMAT. After this, Iyer's excellent form continues in Vijay Hazare Trophy also. He batted explosively against Karnataka on Saturday and scored 114 runs in 55 balls. Due to his captaincy innings, Mumbai was successful in scoring 382 runs in 50 overs.

In this match being played at Narendra Modi Stadium B Ground in Ahmedabad, Karnataka captain Mayank Agarwal won the toss and decided to bowl. After which the Mumbai team, who came to bat first, scored 382 runs after losing 4 wickets in 50 overs. During this, Ayush Mhatre and Hardik Tamore were out after scoring half-centuries. Mhatre scored 78 runs in 82 balls and Tamore scored 84 runs in 94 balls. Shreyas Iyer along with Shivam Dubey created fireworks. Shreyas Iyer played an unbeaten century of 114 runs in 55 balls. During this period, 10 sixes and 5 fours came from Iyer's bat. Whereas, Shivam Dubey scored unbeaten 63 runs in 36 balls. His innings included 5 sixes and 5 fours.
However, Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Suryakumar Yadav disappointed with the bat. Raghuvanshi was out after scoring 6 runs and Surya was out after scoring 20 runs. Vidyadhar Patil proved to be the most expensive bowler for Karnataka. He gave away 103 runs in 10 overs and managed to take only one wicket. Praveen Dubey took two wickets for 89 runs in 10 overs. Shreyas Gopal took one wicket for 65 runs in 10 overs. Till the time of writing the news, Karnataka's batting is in progress. They have got a huge target of 383 runs to win.
