New Delhi. The severity of cold is continuously increasing in India. There has been a drop in temperature from the mountains to the plains, affecting life in general. Dense fog was seen in most areas in Delhi on Friday.
According to the Meteorological Department, there will be another disturbance on December 23. Due to this, there will be heavy snowfall in the hilly areas. After this, three disturbances will occur one by one on December 26, December 29 and January 2. Due to the southward movement of jet streams in the upper atmosphere, these disturbances will prove to be effective. Due to its effect, apart from heavy snowfall in the hilly areas, there is a possibility of strong winds, rain and hailstorm in the plain states. Due to this, there is more possibility of cold wave and fog.
