IND vs AUS: India's troubles increased for the Boxing Day Test, Team India's reliable batsman got injured; playing doubtful

Sports Desk: The fourth match of the five-match series being played between India and Australia is to be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Before this match, the Indian team has suffered a big setback. Indian team's trusted batsman KL Rahul got injured during practice. KL Rahul got hit by the ball while batting in the nets and was treated by the physio of the visiting team.

The Boxing Day Test will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground from 26 December. While practicing here, Rahul got injured in his right hand and felt some discomfort. There is no clarity on the severity of the injury and the team management has also not issued any statement on why he sought medical attention.

In a video shared on social media, Rahul was seen holding his right hand during treatment. Rahul has been in form on the current tour, scoring 235 runs in six innings at an impressive average of 47. This brilliant right-handed batsman has scored two half-centuries so far and is ready to open the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal in the fourth Test.

He is the second highest run scorer in this series after Australia's middle-order batsman Travis Head, who scored two centuries. Rahul played a crucial inning of 84 runs in the third Test in Adelaide during rain interruptions which helped India draw the match.

The series is on par

So far, three matches have been played in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy being played between India and Australia. India won one match. In the second match, Australia made a comeback and won. The third match was a draw. India started the series with a win. The Indian team performed brilliantly in Perth and won by 295 runs. In the second match, Australia made a comeback and won by 10 wickets. The third match was a draw. Both the teams are tied at 1-1 in this series.
