Blake Lively sues It Ends With Us star Justin Baldoni – What did she accuse him of?
New Delhi: In a shocking turn of events, Blake Lively has taken her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni for sexual misconduct and smear negative campaign to ruin her reputation. The Gossip Girl actress has made some shocking and serious allegations against her co-star.
As per the statement obtained by TMZ, things went bad between Blake and Justin during the filming of It Ends With Us. To tackle the “hostile work environment”, they had an “all-hands-on-deck” meeting to tackle the situation, which was also attended by her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
What’s in the lawsuit filed by Blake Lively?
According to the lawsuit, as reported by TMZ, Blake Lively included some demands during the filming of It Ends With Us when things went sour between the two co-stars. Some of her demands include “no more showing nude videos or photos of women” to the actress, no more mention of Baldoni’s “porn addition” and no more discussions about “sexual conquests” in front of Blake and others. It also include no more mentions of cast and crew’s “genitalia”, inquiries about Blake’s weight or any mention about Blake’s late father. The lawsuit also stated a demand where Baldoni cannot make any last minute changes to intimate and sexual scenes apart from what actress has approved.
All the demands were approved by film’s distributor Sony Pictures. The suit also accuses the It Ends With Us actor Baldoni of “social manipulation” and “launching negative campaign” against her to “destroy” her reputation. She also accused him of causing her family “severe emotional distress”.
How did Justin Baldoni react to the lawsuit?
Justin Baldoni’s team spoke with Variety and rubbished the allegations. The spokesperson said that “it’s a shame” that Blake Lively would make such “serious and categorically false accusations against Baldoni, adding that it is her “desperate” attempt to “fix her negative reputation which was garnered from her own remark and actions during the campaign of the film”.
The statement also stated that Blake Lively made multiple demands and threatened to not show up to set, not promote the film, and “ultimately leading to its demise during release if her demands were not met”. The statement also revealed that the actress enlisted her own representative to “plant negative and completely fabricated and false stories with media” even before the marketing of the film began.
