New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission successfully conducted the UPPSC Provincial Civil Services (PCS) preliminary 2024 shift 1 exam, today, December 22. The UPPSC PCS Prelims first shift was conducted between 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. As per initial reactions from candidates, the paper was of moderate level.
Shift 2 is set to start at 2:30 PM and conclude at 4:30 PM. Once the second shift exam is over, the analysis after reaching out to students and experts will be provided here.
The shift 1 paper had questions from history, geography, polity, art and culture, while the shift 2 paper contain questions from quantitative aptitude, reasoning and others.

The UPPSC PCS selection process consists of three stages which include prelims, mains and the interview round. The result and the cut-off marks for all these stages are released separately. Candidates qualifying in all the stages are shortlisted for the appointment to the vacant positions.
The UPPSC PCS prelims cut-off will be prepared only by the General Studies paper 1. Once the exam is over, the cut-off mark is likely to be declared.
UPPSC PCS Prelims 2024 result
UPPSC PCS 2024 prelims result is likely to be declared in the month of January or February 2025. The commission will release the result online on the official website, uppsc.up.nic.in. The roll number of the candidates will be mentioned in the result PDF.
Last year, the UPPSC 2023 result was declared on January 23, 2024. Siddhartha Gupta grabbed the first position in the UPPSC 2023 exam. Prem Shankar Pandey, secured the second rank and Satwik Srivastava the third.
