India Won U-19 Women's Asia Cup: Indian Women's Under-19 team won the Asia Cup, bowled out Bangladesh for 76 runs.

Malaysia. The Indian team performed brilliantly and won the U-19 Women's Asia Cup 2024 title on Sunday. In the final match played at Byumas Oval, Kuala Lumpur, India defeated Bangladesh by 41 runs. In the final match, Bangladeshi team had a target of 118 runs to win, which it could not chase successfully. Bangladesh team collapsed for only 76 runs. This tournament has been organized for the first time. In such a situation, the Indian team achieved a historic achievement by winning the title.

Trisha hit sixes with the bat

Batting first after losing the toss, the Indian team scored 117 runs for 7 wickets. For India, opener Gongadi Trisha scored the highest score of 52 runs in 47 balls. Mithila Vinod (17 runs), captain Nikki Prasad (12 runs) and Ayushi Shukla (10 runs) also managed to reach double figures. For Bangladesh, Farzana Ismin took the maximum of four wickets. Whereas Nishita Akter and Nishi got two successes and Habiba Islam got one success.

In reply, Bangladesh team was bundled out for just 76 runs in 18.3 overs. Wicketkeeper Zuaria Firdous scored the highest score of 22 runs in 30 balls, which included three fours. Whereas opener Fahomida Choya scored 18 runs. Apart from these two, other Bangladeshi batsmen could not reach double digits. For the Indian team, left arm spinner Ayushi Shukla took the maximum of three wickets. Spin bowlers Sonam Yadav and Parunika Sisodia also got two successes each. VJ Joshitha also got one wicket.
