13 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi created history, broke 25 years old record

Sports news: 13 year old batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi has achieved another big achievement while continuing his record breaking streak. Vaibhav, who was bought by Rajasthan Royals in the IPL auction in November for Rs 1.1 crore, has now made the record of becoming India's youngest List-A cricketer. He achieved this feat on Saturday while making his debut for Bihar against Madhya Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

25 year old record broken

Vaibhav broke Ali Akbar's 25 year old record. Ali Akbar made his debut in List-A cricket for Vidarbha in the 1999/00 season at the age of 14 years and 51 days. Even before this, Vaibhav had made the record of being the youngest to play in Ranji Trophy and India U19 team.

Performance not as expected in debut

However, Vaibhav's debut match in List-A cricket was not good. He faced only 2 balls and scored 4 runs. After hitting a four on the first ball, he became the victim of Aryan Anand Pandey on the second ball. Bihar team could score only 196 runs, which Madhya Pradesh easily achieved.

Performance of other players in the match

For Madhya Pradesh, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star batsman Rajat Patidar scored a half-century, while Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) signing of Rs 23.75 crore Venkatesh Iyer remained unbeaten till the end.

Will play for Rajasthan Royals in IPL

Rajasthan Royals made a big bet on Vaibhav in the IPL auction in November. He will play in the IPL under the guidance of India's legendary batsman and coach Rahul Dravid.

Let us tell you that before IPL, Vaibhav had performed brilliantly in the ACC Men's U19 Asia Cup. He scored 176 runs in 5 matches at an average of 76 and strike rate of 145.
