Ramveer Bidhuri, regional MP from south Delhi's Rangpuri Pahari and south-west Delhi Kapashera, visited on Saturday after persistent requests from local residents. There was lack of basic facilities in these areas also. There is no system of drains here, due to which the narrow streets are constantly filled with silt and dirty water. There is no sign of roads. Electricity supply is extremely uncertain. There is a severe shortage of drinking water, due to which women are forced to carry water in buckets from the tanker that comes once in 7-8 days.

Will monitor the cleaning campaign
The accompanying officials of MCD, DUSIB, and I&FC Deptt have been given suggestions to resolve these serious issues immediately. It is very important that we provide at least basic facilities to these residents. Assured the people that the cleanliness drive will start from tomorrow and I will personally monitor the progress of these efforts to ensure that the residents get at least the basic amenities for a quality life. I urge the former Chief Minister, present Chief Minister and concerned ministers of Delhi Government to visit these areas and see these hellish conditions for themselves. They should take immediate steps to improve this pathetic situation.
