This pattern used by Taruna in cotton crop has taken the yield of cotton per acre from 4 quintals to 12 quintals in dryland.
Cotton Crop Management:- Many farmers have now proved that when we cultivate any type of crops, if you use modern cultivation methods in the cultivation method and also use modern methods of management, then surely you can get a good yield even in a minimum area.
Also, many farmers are doing different experiments and these experiments can be seen at different stages in terms of crop cultivation and cultivation methods. Through such experiments, many beneficial things come into the hands of farmers and it is definitely beneficial for the abundant production of agricultural crops.
On this very point, if we take the example of Jairam Lakhe, an experimental young farmer from Bazar Wahegaon in Badnapur taluka, he implemented a different pattern for cotton cultivation and increased the yield of cotton three times per acre.
This young farmer tripled the production of cotton
The detailed report in this regard is that Badnapur area of Jalna district is mainly known as dry river and water scarcity is seen in this place.
But Jairam Lakhe, a young farmer from Bazar Wahegaon in this taluka, was successful in getting only four to five quintals per acre despite the light soil, low rainfall and the overall climate of Marathwada.
But this product received at cost was chargeable and therefore the cost of production was not incurred. With a view to do something different, for the last two years, Jayaram adopted the Dada Lad technology in cotton cultivation.
If you look at all these patterns, a four-foot shower is made and cotton is planted in two rows at a distance of one and a half feet, and due to this shower, whatever water is stored in the agriculture during monsoons and also helps to avoid the damage caused by it. After that, weed control was done by a weeding and after this one weeding, weed control was done by spraying a herbicide.
What exactly is Dada Lad technology?
The most important aspect of this technology is that after 40 to 45 days of cotton planting, the cotton boll is removed and after 70 to 75 days of planting, the boll is cut. Therefore, the weight of one bonda increases from four to five grams to six to seven grams.
Therefore, till the first week of December, the farmer got the production of 11 quintals of 50 kg of cotton per acre and by adopting this method, his cotton production increased by three times.
Also, Jairam has cultivated cotton with minimum tillage in agriculture and along with this, the cotton waste will be decomposed in the ground by hitting the rotor on the cotton.
He also said that this will save the cost of fertilizer and cultivation and besides that next year cotton will be planted at the same distance on the same irrigator.
