Three weeks after its premiere, Allu Arjun’s popular action entertainer is still drawing crowds to theaters which opened on December 5. According to the most recent information available on Sacnilk.com, Pushpa 2 has made over ₹1450 crore at the global box office.
According to the report, after 17 days at the box office worldwide, the movie has made ₹1467.80 crore. The movie has already surpassed the ₹1309 crore lifetime total of SS Rajamouli’s smash hit RRR, which was set a few days ago. It had previously surpassed Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, in lifetime earnings.
Pushpa 2 now seeks to eclipse the lifetime earnings of Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which had a lifetime total of about ₹2,000 crore, and Rajamouli’s other blockbuster, Baahubali 2, which is at ₹1790 crore.
Tensions have been building for the lead actor in India ever since a lady died in Hyderabad due to a stampede-like event at the film’s premiere, despite Pushpa 2’s continued success at the international box office. He was arrested last week but was later freed on interim bail. Since then, director Sukumar and his father, Allu Aravind, have paid the victim a visit at the hospital. Sukumar gave the family ₹5 lakh, while Arjun gave them ₹25 lakh.
