PM Modi leaves for New Delhi from Kuwait, invites Amir Sheikh to visit India
Kuwait City: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for New Delhi from Kuwait tour. He was on tour here on 21 and 22 December. He participated in many programs here. On the last day of his visit to Kuwait, he was given the Guard of Honor at the Bayan Palace. Along with this, Kuwait has today honored PM Modi with its highest honor 'The Order of Mubarak Al Kabir'. After this he also met Kuwait's Crown Prince Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah.
This is the 20th international honor given to PM Modi by any country. This order is awarded to heads of state, foreign sovereigns and members of foreign royal families as a symbol of friendship. This special honor has previously been given to foreign leaders like Bill Clinton, Prince Charles and George Bush.

PM Modi reached Kuwait last Saturday on a two-day visit. He came here on the invitation of the Amir of Kuwait. This is the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to this Gulf country in the last 43 years. Earlier, in 1981, the then Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi had visited Kuwait. Today, Prime Minister Modi has also met the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah.

2. The Prime Minister thanked His Highness the Amir for ensuring the well-being of the over one million strong Indian community in Kuwait. His Highness the Amir appreciated the contribution of the large and vibrant Indian community to the development of Kuwait.
3. The Prime Minister praised the new initiatives being taken by Kuwait to fulfill its Vision 2035. And congratulated His Highness the Amir on the successful organization of the GCC Summit earlier this month. The Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude for inviting him as the guest of honor at the opening ceremony of the Arabian Gulf Cup yesterday.
4. The Amir echoed the Prime Minister's sentiments and appreciated India's role as a valued partner in Kuwait and the Gulf region. The Amir expressed hope for India's greater role and contribution towards realizing Kuwait Vision 2035.
