Allu Arjun Faces Controversy Over Refusal to Leave Theatre During Pushpa 2 Stampede Incident – Read

Telugu superstar Allu Arjun has become the center of controversy following the tragic incident that occurred during a screening of his latest film, Pushpa 2, on December 4. The incident, which led to the death of a woman in a stampede at a movie theatre in Hyderabad, has raised serious questions about the actor’s response to the situation.

At a year-end press conference, Hyderabad’s City Police Commissioner C.V. Anand unveiled a video that detailed the chaos of the night. Compiled from news footage and mobile phone recordings, the video sheds light on the disorder that ensued as the crowd surged in excitement. Despite the tragic loss of life, Allu Arjun reportedly refused to leave the theatre, remaining inside until midnight.

While Commissioner Anand refrained from directly commenting on the video, he stated, “The media can draw its own conclusions,” hinting at the seriousness of the situation. Police officials who were involved in managing the crowd that night shared more details about the sequence of events, including efforts made to reach the actor’s team.

According to the police, after the stampede occurred, officers informed Allu Arjun’s manager about the death and urged the team to have the actor leave the venue to avoid further incidents. However, the police were allegedly unable to communicate directly with the actor for some time.

“We requested the actor’s team to convey the gravity of the situation, but there was no immediate response,” said one of the officials.

Once police were able to directly reach Allu Arjun, they reportedly informed him about the fatality and offered to arrange a secure exit for him. Despite being made aware of the tragedy, Arjun is said to have insisted on finishing the screening before leaving.

The situation took a further turn as reports surfaced that bouncers hired by the actor clashed with both fans and the police during the stampede. This has sparked concerns about the crowd management protocols at such events, especially involving high-profile personalities.

City Police Commissioner C.V. Anand warned that stringent legal action would be taken if the allegations of misconduct by the actor’s security personnel proved true. “VIPs will be held accountable for the behavior of the bouncers they employ,” he stated firmly, underlining the responsibility public figures hold in ensuring safety during public appearances.
