In such a situation, there is a need to pay attention to important nutrients like Vitamin C, Vitamin D and Zinc. There is a need to take a balanced diet in your diet. Eating hot soups, seasonal vegetables and fruits like oranges can help strengthen the immunity of your body.

Adding further, “Dry air during winter can also cause dehydration. In such a situation, make sure that you take plenty of fluids throughout the day, so that the body remains hydrated. In such a situation, there is a need to pay special attention to clothes. In such a situation, choose only those options which are warm as well as comfortable. So choose layered clothes that help you adapt to changing indoor and outdoor temperatures. Buy maternity wear for winter, including warm tops, stretchy leggings and non-slip footwear to stay safe from the cold.''

Dr. Priyanka Suhag said, “If you want that dry air does not cause nasal congestion, then get a humidifier. Additionally, prepare for the baby's arrival by creating a soft bed and a comfortable sleeping space for your newborn.”

Adding, “It also requires preparation to pack a hospital bag for delivery in winter. This should include things like sweaters, socks, and blankets for both mother and baby. It should also include a thermos for hot drinks, moisturizing lip balm, and comfortable slippers to make the stay more pleasant. Don't forget to include all necessary documentation, toiletries and postpartum care items.”

It is important for pregnant women to monitor their health very closely in winter. In such a situation, be alert about all diseases like cold or flu and consult a doctor immediately if you feel sick.
