Hail will fall along with storm and rain in 12 states
It is extremely cold due to the cold wave across the country. Due to snowfall in Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, the minimum temperatures in the plain states of Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh are below 10 degrees. Srinagar recorded the coldest night for the first time in 50 years with a temperature of minus 8 degrees on the night of December 21. Rain alert in these states
According to the Meteorological Department report, the pressure area formed yesterday in the West Central Bay of Bengal weakened and turned into a clear low pressure area. It created cyclonic circulation in an area of ​​3.1 km. It is likely to move west-southwestwards and reach south-west Bay of Bengal near north.

This cyclonic circulation will reach the coast of Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh around 24th December. Due to this, there will be storm with lightning in coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Odisha, north coastal Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and there may be light to moderate and heavy rain at some places.

Clouds will rain due to activation of 2 western disturbances
On the other hand, a fresh western disturbance is becoming active from Afghanistan in the form of cyclonic circulation. Due to its impact, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall at some places in the Western Himalayas. Today and tomorrow there will be rain in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan. Another intense western disturbance may affect northwest India from the night of 26 December. Under its influence, a cyclonic circulation is likely to form in the south-west.

Till December 28, there will be moisture due to easterly winds blowing from the Arabian Sea as well as the Bay of Bengal. Due to its effect, there is a possibility of sporadic rain and snowfall in the Western Himalayan region between 26-28 December. Scattered to heavy rains are also likely over the plains of northwest India and adjacent central India. There is also a possibility of hailstorm along with storm in Maharashtra-Gujarat and northwest India on 27 and 28 December.
