Ingredients for making Makhana Chikki
- Makhana- 1 cup
- Ghee- 2 tbsp
- Jaggery- 1/2 cup
- Pumpkin seeds- 1/4 cup
- Sunflower seeds- 1/2 cup
- Dates- 1/4 cup
- Mixed dry fruits- 1/4 cup
Makhana Chikki Recipe
- Pour some ghee in a pan, add makhana and fry for 3-4 minutes until it becomes light golden brown.
- Take out the makhanas and keep them in a separate bowl.
- Roast pumpkin and sunflower seeds also.
- Add some more ghee, dates, jaggery and water in the same pan. Let the jaggery melt well.
- Now put the makhanas in jaggery syrup and mix.
- Apply ghee on a plate and grease it.
- Place the prepared mixture on a greased plate. Add crushed dry fruits over it.
- Let it cool for a while.
