A promising talent in Indian athletics
In 2022, Pradeep Senthil Kumar made headlines when he broke a seven-year-old 800m meet record set by former Asian Youth Champion Beant Singh at the 20th National Federation Under-20 Athletics Championships.
His impressive performance not only earned him a gold medal but also secured him a spot at the Under-20 World Championships in Colombia.
On the 21st of December, 2024, thebridge.in carried a news article of triple-jumper A.B Arun having been handed a four-year suspension by the NADA.
The article erroneously had Pradeep’s image as the suspended athlete.
The error was human in nature and there was no ulterior motive or malice behind it.
The moment we were made aware of the fact, the image was removed from the article and all social posts pertaining to the same were deleted as well.
thebridge.in was established to share stories of athletes such as Pradeep and that will remain our goal going forward as well.
Pradeep has not been involved in any matters pertaining to doping.
Instead, the talented middle-distance runner from Tamil Nadu, has made rapid strides through the ranks to emerge as one of India’s most exciting young athletes.
