Criticizing the statement of Union Home Minister Amit Shah proved costly for RLD spokespersons. Rashtriya Lok Dal has removed all its spokespersons from their posts. On the orders of Jayant Chaudhary, all the spokespersons have been removed. The party issued a statement saying that all the national spokespersons of Rashtriya Lok Dal and all the spokespersons of Uttar Pradesh are canceled with immediate effect. Shah targeted Nehru

Shah further read out a statement by the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru targeting the Congress. He said that BC Roy wrote a letter asking what would happen if two great men like Ambedkar and Rajaji leave the cabinet. On this Nehru said that Rajaji's departure would cause some loss but Ambedkar's departure would not weaken the cabinet.
