Auto News Desk – Skoda introduced the third generation Superb in April 2023. Now the company is offering great discounts on this car imported into India. Currently, great offers are being offered on the Superb model in select cities. Skoda India brought this sedan as a fully imported car in April 2024, but all the imported units were manufactured in the year 2023. While introducing the car, the company had fixed the ex-showroom price of this car at around Rs 54 lakh. Now only 100 units of the imported Superb will be available for sale. This number may seem limited to customers, but there are some units that remain unsold.
Skoda Superb on-road price
Amidst this news, Skoda India claims that they have sold out all the third generation Superbs, but according to the report of Autocar, some dealers still have stock of the car left. According to the report, these units are being sold at a discount of Rs 15-18 lakh from the ex-showroom price of around Rs 54 lakh. Meanwhile, some unregistered Skoda Superb units are on sale at multi-brand dealerships in North and Central India. Out of the total 100 units imported, around 20-25 unsold cars are still available with such benefits across the country.
The locally assembled third generation Superb was discontinued in April 2023. When Skoda India decided to discontinue the car due to BS6 Stage 2 emission standards, it was priced at around Rs 36 lakh (ex-showroom). With a discount of around Rs 18 lakh, the price of the fully imported Superb comes closer to the locally assembled model. The CBU Superb also gets Skoda's dynamic chassis control, active tire pressure monitor, nine airbags and a larger 9-inch Columbus infotainment system. Features that were not available in the locally assembled car.
Overall the Superb is a good deal
According to Autocar, priced around Rs 36 lakh (ex-showroom) and around Rs 38 lakh in most places, the fully imported Superb with extra features is a good deal overall. However, buyers will have to take into account the 2023 manufacturing year before striking this deal, which means the vehicle will be considered two years old in early 2025.
