Monali Thakur WALKS OUT of mismanaged Varanasi concert: ‘Everything was a mess…’
New Delhi: Popular singer Monali Thakur is known for her chart-topping songs like Sawaar Loon and Cham Cham. The singer has played multiple events across India for quite a while. However, a recent Monai Thakur had to walk out of her concert due to mismanagement by the event organisers. Not only the crowd but also the singer felt disheartened as the event was abruptly cut short.
Monali Thakur expressed her deep frustration at the situation and explained that the organisers were at fault. She accused the team behind the event of being ‘irresponsible and unethical’ for failing to ensure the safety of the audience and artist. Here is what happened.

In a viral video, Monali Thakur explained that the stage was not adequately set up and could have possibly led to an ankle injury to her or her dancers. Monali addressed the situation and mentioned that her dancers warned her about the bad conditions. Further, Monali expressed her disappointment and said that she was excited to perform for the crowd, however, the infrastructure and management made it difficult for her to do so. “Time and again, I’ve said that I could injure my ankle here. My dancers have been telling me to calm down, but everything was a mess,” said Monali Thakur.

She then went on to criticise the event management team and requested the audience to not push the blame on her for the conditions at hand. However, she adds, “hope I grow so much that I can take all the responsibility myself and never have to rely on any Tom, Dick, and Harry who are such a waste, unethical, and irresponsible.” Monali Thakur then apologised to the audience and announced that she would have to shut down the show and promised to return for a much better event.
