Vinod Kambli's health deteriorated, admitted to Thane hospital; Had heart surgery earlier
Sports Desk: Former Indian team batsman Vinod Kambli was admitted to the hospital after his health deteriorated. Kambli was admitted on the night of Saturday 21st December. Recently he made a public appearance at the unveiling of the statue of Ramakant Achrekar at Shivaji Park in Mumbai.
It was told through media that Kambli has been admitted to Akriti Hospital in Thane. The condition of 52-year-old Kambli is currently stable. Kambli is under the observation of doctors. Detailed information about his illness is awaited. Members of India's 1983 World Cup-winning team had offered assistance to Kambli after his health problems came to light. Kapil Dev and Sunil Gavaskar had expressed their desire to help and suggested rehab as a condition.
Kambli recently discussed his health issues. In which he had mentioned urine related problem. For that reason he had to be admitted to the hospital a month ago. At that time he had told that I was having urine problem. This happened already a month ago. My son Jesus Cristiano picked me up and got me back on my feet. My daughter and my wife came to help me. This happened a month ago. My head started spinning, I became unconscious and fell down. Kambli had given this information while talking on a YouTube channel.

Kambli further told that in 2013, he got two heart surgeries done by taking financial help from Sachin Tendulkar. Kambli's nine-year international career included 17 Tests and 104 ODIs for India. Kambli could play only 17 Test and 104 ODI international matches for India. During this period, he scored 1084 runs in the test at an average of 54.20. Which includes four centuries and three half-centuries. Scored 2477 runs in ODI. During his ODI career, he has scored 2 centuries and 14 half-centuries. Kambli became the first player to score two consecutive double centuries in Test cricket.
