Mohammad Yunus government of Bangladesh sent diplomatic message to India, said- send back ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina
Dhaka. The Interim Government of Bangladesh has demanded to send back Sheikh Hasina from India. Bangladesh's interim government on Monday said it has sent a diplomatic message to India to send ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina back to Dhaka. Let us tell you that Hasina has been living in exile in India since August 5. She left the country and came to India amid student-led protests. The government led by Mohammad Yunus has confirmed sending a diplomatic note to India.

Foreign Minister in the interim government Tauheed Hussain told reporters in his office that we have sent a diplomatic message to the Indian government, saying that she (Hasina) should be allowed to proceed with the judicial process in Bangladesh. Should be sent back to Dhaka.
Demand to send back Sheikh Hasina
Home Ministry Advisor Jahangir Alam said that his office has sent a letter to the Ministry of External Affairs for the extradition of ousted Prime Minister Hasina from India. Responding to a question, he told reporters that we have sent a letter to the Ministry of External Affairs regarding her (Hasina) extradition. The process is still going on. Alam said that an extradition treaty already exists between Dhaka and New Delhi and Hasina can be brought back to Bangladesh under this treaty.
Arrest warrant issued against Sheikh Hasina

The Dhaka-based International Criminal Tribunal (ICT) has issued arrest warrants against Hasina and her cabinet ministers, advisers and military and administrative officials for 'crimes against humanity and genocide'.
Deadline for investigation into allegations against Sheikh Hasina extended
Bangladesh's International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) extended by two months the deadline to complete its investigation into allegations of crimes against humanity against ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. According to reports, a three-member bench led by Tribunal Chairman Justice Ghulam Murtuza Majumdar passed the order and booked Hasina and 45 others, including former ministers, for genocide during the student-led protests in July-August. The deadline to complete the investigation in the case filed against has been extended till February 18.
