Agent trapped abroad by promising good job, 40 Indian workers appealed for help through video

A large number of workers from India go abroad to work. After reaching there they get good jobs but many workers also get stuck there. They are not treated well and are not even able to get work as per the contract. A similar case has come to light again in which 40 workers from Orissa are stranded in Maldives.

In this case, information has been received that the workers had gone to Maldives about 6 months ago. He had gone to work in a private company but after reaching there his condition worsened. What has been told is that all these workers were sent to Maldives for work by an agent.

All these workers have sought help by sharing videos. The workers say that despite working for months, they have not received their salaries. They have been forced to live in very poor conditions. The workers are repeatedly threatened that if they do not remain silent, they will be sent to jail.
