Disgraced referee David Coote will NOT appeal his Premier League sacking after he was filmed 'snorting white powder' and calling Jurgen Klopp a 'German ****' in leaked videos

Disgraced referee David Coote has decided not to appeal his dismissal by the PGMOL, Mail Sport understands.

It officially spells the end of Coote’s career as a Premier League official after he was sacked by his bosses earlier this month.

That followed the emergence of videos which landed Coote in significant trouble, the first seemingly showing the 42-year-old badmouthing Liverpool’s former manager Jurgen Klopp.

The PGMOL’s investigation was then extended to look into another clip which was made public, alleging to show him sniffing a white powder through a rolled-up bank note.

It was apparently taken during the summer’s European Championship. The PGMOL found Coote’s actions made his position as a Premier League official ‘untenable’ and the organisation headed up by Howard Webb terminated his employment with immediate effect.

In a statement confirming his axing, they said: ‘David Coote’s actions were found to be in serious breach of the provisions of his employment contract, with his position deemed untenable.

‘Supporting David Coote continues to be important to us and we remain committed to his welfare. ‘David Coote has a right to appeal the decision to terminate his employment.’

Yet sources have now told Mail Sport that Coote is set to accept his fate rather than fight to keep his job with the PGMOL.
