Sapna Chowdhary's father's name was Bhupendra Atri. Sapna's father passed away in the year 2008. Sapna was only 12 years old then. Actually, his death was due to heart attack. Sapna said on doing stage show

I had brought CD and there was no CD player at home. So father had brought it from the neighbor.
Father died during first performance
My first performance was on 21 December 2008. The day my father died. On December 20, my father had brought a CD player from the neighborhood and told me that my daughter had to dance. I prepared, but I could not dance because my mother took my father to the hospital that very night.
