Marco BO collection: Unni Mukundan’s film makes record-breaking opening weekend sales
New Delhi: The Malayalam industry has a new gory action-thriller with Unni Mukundan’s latest movie, Marco. Directed by Haneef Adeni, this A-rated action film stars Unni Mukundan, Siddique, Jagadish, Kabir Duhan Singh, Anson Paul and Yukti Thareja, among other talented artists. Marco has been making headlines for his brutality and violent scenes as the audience calls it the most violent film in Indian cinema.

According to the industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned Rs Rs 4.3 crore on day 1; Rs 4.65 crore on day 2; and Rs 5.25 crore on day 3, Marco has minted Rs 14.20 crore in nett India collection on its opening weekend. Further, the data also shows that Marco’s worldwide box office collection has already reached Rs 31.35 crore, the highest opening weekend for a Malayalam action film. Made on a budget of Rs 30 crore, the film has already broken even and is predicted to reach the Rs 50 crore milestone in the coming week. On Day 4 (December 23), Marco earned Rs 2.6 crore and counting in early estimates. Adding its overseas collection, the film might cross Rs 40 crore within 4 days of release.
