Indian media members decided not to play
This match was to be played at the Junction Oval in Melbourne on Sunday. But, the media manager of the Indian team decided not to participate in it. Subsequently, many members of the Indian media also decided to withdraw from the game, making it difficult to organize the match.
What is the matter?
This controversy started in a press conference held on Saturday. Jadeja answered the questions of Indian journalists in Hindi after finishing the training session on the ground. The discussion continued in Hindi for about 9 minutes, after which it was time for the team bus to leave. For this reason the press conference was ended early.
However, Australian media claims that Jadeja refused to answer questions in English. A Channel 7 report said that Australian journalists were surprised and confused when Jadeja did not answer questions in English.
Actually, Jadeja did not refuse to answer in English. He answered in Hindi because the questions were also being asked in Hindi.
Relations between the Indian team and the local media deteriorated further when the team reached Melbourne on Thursday. Star batsman Virat Kohli got into a heated argument with a journalist while the cameras were focusing on his family.
